Betty Diaz is a registered nurse by trade.  She was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. Jeannie Mathison introduced and trained Betty in art of crochet. That was in 1974.

Today, Betty Diaz uses crochet as an outlet for her creativity and for relaxation.  Her favorite times to crochet is in evening as she sets on the sofa or at five in the morning before she starts the workday.

Even though Betty consults patterns, she makes each project unique by incorporating some design or pattern modification.  Her baby blankets, bed covers, and afghans make warm, inviting gifts.

Betty’s other creative endeavors include baking.  Friends, coworkers, and community members for their private and public celebrations have sought her cakes.  Her signature carrot cake has commanded bids at charity auctions of over $100.00 (the nearest competitor was a third of that).  Betty also maintains a blog, reads voraciously, and cherishes her family time.
